A Little About Dorris Chapel
Welcome to the church of Christ that meets at Dorris Chapel. We are simply seeking to follow God’s will and serve Him together by following the teaching of the New Testament and following the pattern of the Church in Acts 2.
What Can I Expect?
- On Sundays, we have Bible classes for all ages at 10 AM, followed by our worship service at 11 AM.
- Our worship begins with announcements, including updates on those who are sick and upcoming events. We then sing together, led by our song leader, followed by a time of prayer.
- Next, a lesson from God’s Word is presented, along with an invitation for anyone who wishes to respond—whether to become a Christian or to seek prayers for forgiveness.
- We then observe the Lord’s Supper, remembering the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Our service concludes with a few final announcements, a closing song, and a prayer.
- On Sunday Nights at 6 PM we have a similar order as Sunday Morning Worship
- On Wednesdays at 7 PM we have Classes for all Ages Available! We begin services with a few songs led by our song leader followed by prayer.
- There will be one additional song and then an announcement for dismissal to classes. There will be someone to gladly point you in the right direction if you have any questions.
- After Classes end by sounding of a bell, everyone will meet back in the auditorium for announcements, and a devotional will be given along with an invitation to respond to the gospel with a song. After there will be an additional song and a dismissal prayer.
