“Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31,32).

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

“…And receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:21b,22).

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein…” (Revelation 1:3).

How did our Lord answer Satan each and every time He was tempted? “It is written” (Matthew 4:4). “It is written again” (Matthew 4:7). “For it is written” (Matthew 4:10). Do we get the picture? Jesus turned to God’s Word each and every time. When times are tough, let us turn to God and to the power of His Word. God’s Word has the answer to our every problem and every need.
