“To Our Fathers:”

June 21, 2026 · Tim Fuqua

Happy Father’s Day to all our fathers!!! We love and appreciate each of you!!! Thank you for being the spiritual leaders of our homes (Ephesians 6:4). Thanks for training our children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). Thanks for setting the right example ever before our children (Titus 2:1,2,6-8). Thanks for being the salt and the light (Matthew 5:13-16).

Miss you Dad and all your advice! Miss our phone calls! Miss your encouragement along life’s way! Miss your lessons that helped me to become me! Miss you showing me the way! Wish I could only be half the Dad you were to me! Even though we wore the same size shoes there is no way I could ever fill your shoes! Thank you God so very much for giving me my Dad!

We may not be like our Dads, but let’s follow God’s guidebook for Fatherhood. God shows us the way in His Word. Let’s start by being a Christian and a faithful one at that. Let’s show our children the way by living by the Bible. Let’s teach them by word and deed. Thanks again to all our Dads! We love and appreciate each and every one of you, Tim

P.S. Young people the best gift you can give your Dads today is sit with them in church services. We love the ugly ties and socks, but your presence at church services is present enough. Young people we will be going to Trenton tonight at 7:30 P.M. for the summer youth devo. Next Sunday begins our V.B.S. June 28 - July 1 at 7 P.M. each evening. We have classes for all ages. We will have refreshments each night and ice cream sundaes on Wednesday night. Bring others with you and let’s fill up our building!!!
