“The Church Is Not A Country Club For the Saved, But A Hospital For Sinners.”

May 13, 2026 · Tim Fuqua

“And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:31,32).

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:1:2,9,10).

Looking forward to our Wednesday Night Bible Classes at 7 P.M. at Dorris Chapel. We have some great teachers and classes for all ages. We are studying from the book of Colossians in our auditorium class and discussing the supremacy of Christ. Brother Joshua Mayo is teaching our teen class. We would love for you to join us tonight.

Wednesday Night Bible Class is a spiritual vitamin to help me get through the work week. It is a battery charger for my week and is such an encouragement to study from God’s Word and to be with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Our fellowship together is like no other. Philip told his friend Nathanael to “Come and see” (John 1:46). So our words to you are the same, “Come and see.”

We have so many who are on our prayer list and we are praying for each and everyone of them. Tammy Rice went to her doctors in Nashville yesterday and she is going to be taking antibiotics for another thirty days before she has surgery. Jerry Clutts is having a procedure done today in Jackson. Please keep him and Sheila in your prayers. We pray that this procedure will be successful. We will be going to Kirkland’s Friday for me to have another infusion. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for LaQuita and I. Love y’all and have a blessed Wednesday, Tim
