"Teapot Parade"

Today is the day of the annual Teapot Parade. What does the Teapot Parade have to do with our daily devo. Let’s look at an acrostic of these two words.

T - Teach others the truth (I Timothy 4:16).

E - Encourage others daily (Ephesians 4:12-16).

A - Always love God and others (Matthew 22:36-40).

P - Pray for others often (James 5:16).

O - Only one way to heaven (John 14:6).

T - Tell others about Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15,16).

P - Put the church first (Matthew 6:33).

A - Always stay faithful (Revelation 2:10b).

R - Read God’s Word daily (I Timothy 4:13; Acts 17:11).

A - Abide in Jesus (John 15:1-8).

D - Doers of the Word (James 1:22).

E - Except we be born again (John 3:1-5).

So you can see that lessons from God’s Word can come from almost anything. Today, our area celebrates the Teapot Festival with its annual parade. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the parade. Enjoy some fair food, but most of all remember these lessons we can learn from everyday things in our lives. Love y’all and have a blessed weekend!
