"Stay Rooted in Christ Jesus"

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving” (Colossians 2:6,7).

Our lives rooted in Jesus Christ don’t fight battles of retaliation. We choose forgiveness. We choose prayer. We choose hope. We choose to trust in God. “At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. Not withstanding the Lord stood with me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen (II Timothy 4:16-18). “…For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Hebrews 13:5b,6). Let’s stay rooted in Christ Jesus!

Hope to see you this morning in Sunday School at 10 A.M. We will worship at 11 A.M. and 6 P.M. Following our evening services, we will celebrate with finger foods and gifts for Haleigh Boatright’s high school graduation. Wednesday night at 7 P.M. we have classes for all ages.
