“Our Children’s First Glimpse of Jesus Is Through Us.”

July 31, 2026 · Tim Fuqua

Let’s pray they see a faith that is lived, not just spoken (Philippians 1:27; James 2:14-26). Remember Edgar A. Guest’s poem, “I’d Rather See A Sermon Than Hear One Anyday.” Let’s make sure our children and grandchildren see Jesus in our daily lives. The way we talk, live, act and react is eternally important.

Timothy had a genuine faith because of his grandmother and mother (II Timothy 1:5). That training of Timothy started when he was a baby (II Timothy 3:14,15). That is when we are to start. Older members are to be an example and are also to teach our young people (Titus 2:1-8). What kind of example are we ever setting before our youth. Let’s start today by living what we teach. Love y’all and have a blessed weekend, Tim

P.S. If you see our granddaughter today, wish her a happy 20th. birthday!!! Emma Jo have a great day!!!
