“How To Build A Great Congregation?” (Part 7)

To build a great congregation there must be a great mission. What should be our mission at Dorris Chapel? What was Jesus’ mission? “For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). The most challenging task facing our leadership is restoring the urgency and importance of soul winning!!! Our congregation will grow, if we carry out our mission. We are saved to save (I Timothy 4:16).

Soul winning is so important because 1 soul is worth more than all the world (Matthew 16:24-26). Notice some of the final words of our Lord when He was upon this earth (Matthew 28:18-20). “Go ye” means go me. It is sad to say that the Great Commission has become the Great Omission.
