“God’s Elect”

Throughout our great state of Tennessee we are having Election Day today. It is very important that Americans come out and vote and it is even more important that Christians run for office. We need Christians to take the lead in our government. Go vote! Get involved!

Even more important is being God’s elect! To be God’s elect we must be a believer (Matthew 24:22,24,31). We become a part of the elect by God’s grace (Romans 11:5) and by our obeying the gospel (I Thessalonians 1:4-6). The elect then must add the Christian graces, bear much fruit, and be faithful unto death (II Peter 1:5-11; John 15:8; Revelation 2:10b). Are you apart of the elect of God?
