“Get The Big Picture” (Part 29)

(Why Didn’t The Israelites Go Straight Into The Promised Land? Exodus 11:1-9)

Complaining was their problem! This sin of the Israelites was their problem. The consequence was forty years of wandering in the wilderness. They missed the menu of Egypt more than the presence of God. This didn’t work out for them.

We sometimes follow Israel’s poor example of complaining, but we should not. Notice what the apostle Paul wrote the congregation at Corinth in I Corinthians 10:10-13. Let’s not follow Israel or Corinth’s poor example of complaining. Paul tells us in Colossians 3:15 to be thankful. Let’s count our many blessings and name them one by one in our daily prayers. Let’s stop and thank God for one thing a day for the rest of the year. It will truly surprise you what the Lord has done for every one of us. Love y’all and have a blessed Tuesday, Tim
