“Get The Big Picture” (Part 26)

(The Golden Calf / Obedience Replaced With Idolatry - Exodus 32)

Israel demanded Aaron to make a golden calf to worship because Moses had delayed in coming down from the mount. They said they didn’t know what had happened to Moses. Israel had replaced their obedience unto God with idolatry (Exodus 32:1-10). God had removed Israel from Egypt, but Egypt was not removed from Israel.

When we obey the gospel today, we must leave the world behind (Romans 12;1,2; I John 2:15-17). This is a never ending battle that we face. We will continue to make mistakes, but let’s be faithful to our God (Revelation 2:10b). Let’s leave the world behind! We live in the world, but we are not to be worldly. Let’s not bow down to the “golden calves” in our lives. Let’s ever be obedient to our God that heaven may be our eternal home. Love y’all and have a blessed day, Tim
