(A Caution From Nadab And Abihu)

What does “unauthorized fire” in Leviticus 10:1,2 teach us about approaching God properly? Notice what happened when Nadab and Abihu offered what God had not commanded. Notice Hebrews 5:1-4 and Numbers 15:30 and we can better understand the role and responsibilities of the priesthood.

We, as Christians today, should not think that obedience is optional. God requires His people to be holy and obedient to His commands then and now (Leviticus 10:3; Hebrews 5:8,9). Notice also Ananias and Sapphira in the New Testament (Acts 5:1-11). Let’s not follow these poor examples from both the Old and New Testament’s.
