Genesis 6:5 is the long term result of living by Genesis 3:6. There were only eight righteous souls in the time of Noah. However, as we see in Genesis 9, sin survived the flood. Since Genesis 3 there has always been a tremendous need in God sending His Son to die for every one of us (Romans 3:23-25; Romans 6:23; John 3:16). Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift (II Corinthians 9:15).
