“Fruit Full” (Part 11 of 11) “A Fruit Full Walk” (Galatians 5:16-25; Genesis 6:9)

The apostle Paul encouraged the Galatians to hold on to the gospel they had received. He calls them to “walk by the Spirit” (Galatians 1:6-9; Galatians 5:16-25). The word “walk” throughout the Bible is used to describe faithfulness, our relationship with God, and our obedience to Him. Paul’s plea to walk by the spirit is a call to let go of the world and to cling tight to Jesus. In Genesis 6:9, we are introduced to Noah. In a time when most on earth had chosen to reject God, Noah remained faithful. His walk with God teaches us how to live by the fruit of the Spirit.

I. Noah Listened To God And We Should Too (Genesis 6:13-22; Matthew 17:5; Romans 10:17).

II. Noah Obeyed God And We Should Too (Genesis 6:22; Matthew 7:21; James 1:21-25).

III. Noah Trusted God And We Should Too (Genesis 7:1; Proverbs 3:5-7).

We must, like Noah, have a fruitful walk. We must listen to God, obey His commands, and trust him daily. This is the final devo in this series of being “Fruit Full.” Let’s be fruitful day by day by bearing much fruit (John 15:8). Love y’all and have a blessed day, Tim
