“Fruit Full” (Part 1)

Tomorrow morning at 10 A.M. and Sunday night through Wednesday night at 7 P.M. we will study this subject, “Fruit Full” in our 2026 V.B.S. We will be noticing in our daily devotions this subject for at least the next ten devos. This morning let’s notice the subject, “Full Of Love.”

We are to be fruitful as the children of God. Our Lord said we are to “bear much fruit” (John 15:8). The apostle Peter tells us to add the Christian graces to our lives (II Peter 1:3-12) and the apostle Paul tells us to have these nine “fruit of the spirit” (Galatians 5:22,23) in every one of our lives.

Let’s start this series of devotions with our being “Full Of Love.” In 1850, poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning prepared 44 sonnets, all dedicated to the theme of love. Sonnett 43 is probably the most rememorable. It begins with the line, “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.” What follows is a description of life’s ups and downs. Different situations that make love easy or difficult. A wonderful picture of love. Throughout history many have delved into the meaning of love.

The apostle Paul has the best inspired description of love in I Corinthians 13. The great golden text of the Bible describes God’s love for us (John 3:16). Our Lord tells us of His love for each of us and His willingness to die for us (John 15:13). In tomorrow’s devo, we will notice how we can be “Full Of Love.” We hope to answer this great question tomorrow and we hope to see you at 10 A.M. for the beginning of our V.B.S. 2026.
