“David Didn’t Pick Up Five Stones By Accident”

Most wonder why David picked up five stones when going against Goliath. Was he afraid he might miss? But later in the Scriptures, we learn that Goliath had four descendants (II Samuel 21:22). David wasn’t afraid. He was prepared and ready with God’s help to fight the other four.

Faith doesn’t always mean that we just choose one stone or one battle. It means being fully prepared while trusting in God for the victory (Ephesians 6:10-18). “…This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (I John 5:4).
