“A Strong Marriage Isn’t Built On Perfection.”

A strong marriage is built on two hearts that keep choosing God (Psalm 127:1), that keeps choosing love ( Ephesians 5:21-33), and that keeps choosing each other each and every single day (Colossians 3:18,19). Because when a husband and wife grow closer to God, they naturally grow closer to one another. Tonight, we continue our study of the book of Colossians in our auditorium class by studying the marriage relationship in Colossians 3.

One of the ways God blesses us men is by giving us a quality woman. Thank you Lord for blessing me with a good wife. Love you LaQuita and thank you for always being there for me, even through my many imperfections. When I think of you, I think of that country song, “She’s Close Enough To Perfect For Me.” Thanks for always choosing to sit in that “hard chair” and if you have ever been to Kirkland’s you will know what I mean.

Thank you God for giving me a good example of a Dad! My truck driving Dad took care of my Mom when she was sick for twenty years. He brushed her hair, planted those flowers, fed her birds, cooked her meals, and tended to her every need. That’s what love does. It is far more than words. It is actions.
